Three kinds of archive, one standard of care
Choose the material you hold. Each one follows the same seven stages and the same quality checks.

Documents and engineering drawings
Paper files, registers and large-format engineering drawings, scanned on your premises and indexed so every page can be found in seconds.
Most archives we receive are working records: personnel and property files, court and finance registers, correspondence and building plans, often stapled, folded and handled for decades. Our teams work inside your building, prepare every file by hand and scan it at the resolution and colour mode its content needs.
Large drawings and maps go through wide-format scanners at full size, without folding or cutting. Every page is then indexed against the fields you define, checked image by image, and delivered in the formats your systems already read.
What we handle
-
Files and registersPersonnel, property, court and financial files of any size and condition.
-
Engineering drawingsBuilding plans and large drawings captured at full size on wide-format scanners.
-
Indexing and OCREach document indexed against the fields you choose, with text recognition for typed Arabic and English.
-
Quality controlEvery batch checked image by image and against the index before hand-over.
Recent work
-
Building files and engineering drawings for the municipal e-archive, delivered in two phases.
-
Mortgage and finance department files digitized and indexed.
Microfilm and microfiche
Reels and microfiche cards converted to sharp, searchable digital images before the film degrades.
Microfilm was built to last, but the equipment to read it is disappearing, and older film fades, curls and turns brittle. We convert roll film and microfiche on dedicated film scanners, frame by frame, before the image is lost.
Each frame is corrected for density, contrast and skew, split into individual pages and linked to its index, so records that once needed a reader and an expert open in seconds, side by side with the digitized paper files.
What we handle
-
Microfilm reelsReels scanned frame by frame and split into pages.
-
Microfiche cardsCards captured at high resolution, each frame named and indexed.
-
Image enhancementDensity, contrast and skew corrected so faded records become readable.
-
One archive with the paper filesFilm images joined to the matching digitized paper files.
Recent work
-
2 million microfilm slides of mortgage files digitized and indexed.
-

Heritage and special collections
Historic records, newspapers, manuscripts, photographs and audio-visual tapes, handled with conservation care and preserved in digital form.
Historic records, manuscripts, newspapers, photographs and audio-visual tapes need more than a scanner. Fragile originals are cleaned, repaired and flattened by our conservation team before anyone captures them, and bound volumes are photographed in book cradles that never force the spine.
Newspapers are split into articles so researchers can search by headline and column, and video and cassette tapes are transferred to digital files and catalogued, so a collection that sat in storage becomes a resource people can actually use.
What we handle
-

-
NewspapersComplete runs captured and searchable by article and column.
-
Manuscripts and rare booksRare volumes captured in book cradles for libraries and research centres.
-

Seven stages, every project
Nothing is skipped and nothing leaves your premises. Each stage has its own checks and records.
-
01 / 07
Receive and register
Boxes are received against a signed inventory, counted, barcoded and logged, so every file can be traced from the shelf to the archive and back.
-
02 / 07
Restore fragile originals
Torn, folded or water-damaged pages are cleaned and repaired by conservators before capture, so the original is never harmed by the scan.
-
03 / 07
Sort and prepare
Files are sorted by type and size, staples and clips are removed, and batches are separated with marker sheets that tell the scanner where each document starts.
-
04 / 07
Scan every format
Production, book and wide-format scanners capture each item in the resolution and colour mode it needs, from small receipts to full-size drawings.
-
05 / 07
Read with local AI
Our recognition models read typed and handwritten Arabic and English on servers inside your building, extracting names, dates and reference numbers without sending a page to the cloud.
-
06 / 07
Review the index
Reviewers check every extracted field against its image, correct what the model flagged as uncertain and confirm the links between pages and files.
-
07 / 07
Store securely and hand back
Images and index are loaded into Docs2Keep or your own system on your servers, and the originals are returned to their shelves exactly as received.

Read by AI that never leaves your building
Scanning makes an archive visible; reading makes it useful. Our document intelligence runs on local servers, so sensitive government and personal records become searchable without a single page crossing your network boundary.
